...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Chippewa
  and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.River levels have risen slightly at Morton and remained steady at
Montevideo due to overnight rainfall. Additional rainfall is
expected to arrive on Sunday with isolated to scattered showers
through the holiday, thus we expect to remain in flood for the next
few days with only minor change in river levels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.

* WHEN...Until Friday, May 31.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
  North Redwood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 PM CDT Friday, the stage was 21.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 900 PM CDT Friday was 21.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.8
    feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Friday, May 31.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    21.9 feet on 04/04/2007.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 PM CDT Friday, the stage was 14.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 900 PM CDT Friday was 14.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.0
    feet tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.0 feet on 03/24/1966.
