Bollinger County in southeastern Missouri... Wayne County in southeastern Missouri... * Until 1130 PM CDT. * At 726 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Piedmont, Marble Hill, Greenville, Sam A. Baker State Park, Lake Wappapello State Park, Williamsville, Cascade, Grassy, Shook, Lodi, Wappapello, Leopold, Patton, Alliance, Mill Spring, Sedgewickville, Zalma and Glenallen. If a tornado warning is issued while the flash flood warning is ongoing, be sure to stay sheltered in a lower interior room unless absolutely necessary to avoid flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads.
