This change of service is at the request of a local partner and gage cooperator. This change in action stage will allow river forecasts to be issued sooner for Owensboro allowing local partners to better take advance action due to a rising river. Flood Stage will remain unchanged and River Flood Warnings and Statements will be issued when the Ohio River is expected to exceed 40 feet. Graphical depictions of river levels and forecasts are available on our website.
