Hot and dry conditions will dominate through late week with the warmest temperatures of the week expected on Wednesday and Friday. Breezy afternoon winds will be possible today, but should decrease as high pressure builds over the region through mid week. An uptick in thunderstorm chances return for late week into early next week, particularly across the southeast mountains and plains. This will drop temperatures back towards climatological normals beginning Sunday and continuing into next week.
