...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
  following counties, Franklin and Nash.

* WHEN...Until 830 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 637 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated slow-moving showers
    with heavy rain. Minor flooding can be expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of one half inch to one inch are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Castalia, Centerville and Aventon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
