Cooling will continue through Saturday with gusty southwest to west winds in the mountains and deserts with the strongest gusts this afternoon and evening with the stronger gusts to 40 to 50 mph. The marine layer will deepen to around 4500 feet tonight, then decrease in depth to around 2000 feet next Thursday. High pressure to the south will bring warming for Sunday through Wednesday with the coast and valleys warming to around average and the deserts to around 5 degrees above average.
