...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL LAFAYETTE AND
SOUTHWESTERN COLUMBIA COUNTIES...NORTHWESTERN WEBSTER...NORTHWESTERN
CADDO...NORTHWESTERN CLAIBORNE...NORTHERN BOSSIER PARISHES IN
NORTHWESTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEASTERN CASS COUNTIES THROUGH 100 AM
CDT...

At 1229 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bradley to near Ida to McLeod. Movement
was southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Springhill, Homer, Vivian, Benton, Cullen, Plain Dealing, Cotton
Valley, Sarepta, Hosston, Rodessa, Belcher, Ida, Shongaloo, Gilliam,
McLeod, Welcome, Evergreen, Alden Bridge, Leton, and Cavett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for southwestern
Arkansas...northwestern Louisiana...and northeastern Texas.
