...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
FOR BROWN AND COLEMAN COUNTIES...

At 418 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across Brown county from Lake Brownwood to Brownwood...Owens
and Blanket...south to Brooksmith and Indian Creek. Between 2 and
3.5 inches of rain have fallen from Glen Cove to Coleman to Lake
Brownwood and Brownwood, Additional rainfall amounts up to 3 inches
are possible in the warned area. Brownwood can expect torrential
rainfall. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

  Brownwood, Coleman, Early, Santa Anna, Bangs, Blanket, Lake
  Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood, Grosvenor, Lake Brownwood
  State Park, Byrds, Burkett, Trickham, Cross Cut, Brookesmith, Camp
  Bowie, May, Valera, Silver Valley and Zephyr.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Indian Creek at 9th, Austin Street at Avenue G, Good Shephard at
11th, Gifford at Beaver, Willis at Belmeade, Magnolia at Belmeade,
Belle Plain at Romines, Cordell at Anderson, 4th Street at Wood and
Austin Street at Avenue J.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
