...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MCCULLOCH...
NORTHEASTERN MASON AND SAN SABA COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM CDT...

At 204 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pontotoc, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
San Saba, Richland Springs, Algerita, Cherokee, Pontotoc, Fredonia,
Chappel, Sloan, Skeeterville, Colorado Bend State Park, Hall, Locker,
Harkeyville, Spring Creek, Us-190 Near The Mcculloch-
San Saba County Line, and Regency.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Angelo.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for
west central Texas.
