...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN IRWIN...TURNER...
NORTHEASTERN LEE...WESTERN BEN HILL AND NORTHWESTERN WORTH COUNTIES
THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 520 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Cordele to 6 miles west of Ashburn. Movement
was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ashburn, Worth, Warwick, Rebecca, Amboy, Dakota, Sibley, Doles, Arp,
and Abba.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
south central and southwestern Georgia.
