TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2 feet.
  Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow. Areas of blowing snow could significantly
  reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Clearing activities over the Beartooth
  Highway will be impacted.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. If you
are going to the high country for recreation, be sure to let someone

  Northeast Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Areas of heavy wet snow occurring in foothills. Additional
  snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Total accumulations 4 to 9
  inches on grassy areas with higher amounts possible. Slushy and
  slick roads expected near higher foothills.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Montana.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, may be
  slick and slushy. Visibility may drop to under a half mile at
  times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ponding of water across roads from melting
  snow and heavy rain will also make driving difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery and slushy roads. Slow down and use caution
while driving.
