...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20
  nm...
  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...
  Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm...

At 730 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and
small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending
from 10 nm north of Mount Dirfy`s Wreck to 9 nm northeast of Wreck
33, moving northeast at 30 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass. If caught on the open water,
prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
