948 FNUS53 KJKL 241010 FWFJKL Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Kentucky National Weather Service Jackson KY 610 AM EDT Fri May 24 2024 .DISCUSSION...Daily high temperatures will climb into the 80s through the weekend and into early next week. A series of disturbances will also keep our weather unsettled through the weekend with repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected at times. Due to the expected rain, persistently moist conditions will keep relative humidity and fuel moisture levels well above any critical fire weather thresholds. Winds are not expected to be an issue either. Storms could be severe in Sunday and Sunday night. Thereafter, a surface cold front will usher in cooler, drier air across the region by Tuesday, providing seasonably cool temperatures and humidities along with dry, fair weather through much of the upcoming week.
