Through 7 pm, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will wax and wane in the eastern Straits of Florida, Florida Bay, the Bayside and Gulfside waters, the offshore Gulf waters and the Lower and Middle Keys. These showers and storms will continue drifting to the southwest to west at 5 to 10 knots. Mariner`s encountering the stronger portions of this activity can expect bouts of heavy rainfall reducing visibilities to less than 3 miles, wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. On land, expect an additional few hundreths to couple tenths of an inch for the Middle Keys with a few hundreths for portions of the Lower Keys, especially near Big Pine Key. $$ MJV
