WEST BATON ROUGE, IBERVILLE, SOUTH CENTRAL EAST BATON ROUGE AND
NORTHWESTERN ASSUMPTION PARISHES THROUGH 1230 AM CDT
...
At 1142 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Rosedale to 9 miles southwest of Bayou
Sorrel. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Plaquemine, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place,
St. Gabriel, Addis, Brusly, White Castle, Rosedale, Grosse Tete,
Westminster, Merrydale, Geismar, Inniswold, Ramah, Village St.
George, Bayou Sorrel, Gardere, and Carville.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 127 and 170, and
near mile marker 173.
Interstate 12 between mile markers 1 and 6.
Interstate 110 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 6.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
