...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN COOK COUNTY THROUGH
345 PM CDT...

At 315 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Portage Park to Westchester. Movement was east
southeast at 15 to 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chicago, Cicero, Berwyn, Oak Park, West Town, Austin, Bridgeport,
Chicago Loop, South Lawndale, Lake View, Irving Park, Lincoln Park,
West Ridge, Melrose Park, Maywood, Brookfield, Westchester, La
Grange, Norridge, Navy Pier, Northerly Island, Belmont Cragin,
Dunning, Near North Side, and Logan Square.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
