744 FZUS63 KMQT 270126 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 926 PM EDT Sun May 26 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.5 inch low over southern Wisconsin this evening continues lifting northeast, deepening to 29.4 inches as it tracks across northern Lower Michigan Monday morning and then into Quebec by Tuesday morning. In its wake, a 30.3 inch high pressure builds over the Northern Plains on Tuesday. This high pressure parks over the Upper Great Lakes Wednesday and stays put through Thursday. The high begins to slowly move towards the rest of the Great Lakes region Friday as a 29.9 inch low pressure lifts through the Northern Plains.
