.DISCUSSION...Shower and thunderstorm chances will decrease into
this evening as a ridge of high pressure builds into the Lower
Mississippi Valley. This will bring a period of rain free weather
to the area through Tuesday. Recent rainfall, relatively clear skies,
and light to nearly calm winds may produce favorable conditions for the
formation of fog late tonight, especially east of the Mississippi River.
An approaching cold front is expected to weaken across the area by
next Wednesday, bringing a return of rain chances into the start
of the Memorial Day weekend.
