Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
328 AM EDT Sun Jun 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will become centered off the coast today.
However, even as ridging pushes offshore, it will remain
in control with warm conditions expected. Southwesterly flow
encourages more moist low-levels and min RHs rebound to 35-40%
across the coastal plain, near 50% along the coast. South to
southwesterly winds will hover around 5-10 kt through the day,
with increasing gusts behind passing sea breezes. Risk of
measurable precipitation remains low through Monday.
