...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Albemarle Sound...

At 630 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from near Edenton to 12 nm
southwest of Highway 94 Bridge, moving east at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
         damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Highway 94 Bridge, Albemarle Sound, Bull Bay/scuppernong River, and
The Mouth Of The Perquimans River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for eastern North
Carolina...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
