At 302 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Smoky Mountains-Newfound Gap, or near Gatlinburg, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Smoky Mountains-Newfound Gap, Pittman Center, Cosby, Harrisburg, Elkmont, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Fairgarden.
