...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN KNOX...NORTHEASTERN
BLOUNT...NORTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...SOUTHEASTERN UNION...NORTHWESTERN
SEVIER AND SOUTHWESTERN GRAINGER COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM EDT...

At 220 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Rockford, or 9 miles southeast of Knoxville,
moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Sevierville, Maynardville, Plainview, New Market,
Strawberry Plains, Blaine, Luttrell, Kimberlin Heights, and House
Mountain State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
