West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

E and SE of the outer waters will move SE today. A warm front
over the N waters will gradually lift NE today and and pass N of
the area later this afternoon. A cold front will move E and
approach the coast later today then move slowly offshore over
the N waters tonight and then slowly over the central and S
waters late Fri and Fri night and eventually stalling along or
just S of the S waters Sat and Sat night. Another cold front will
move into the N waters Sun and stall along the central and S
coast Sun through Mon night.
