...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT
FOR SMITH...RUSK...NORTHWESTERN NACOGDOCHES...SOUTHERN WOOD...CENTRAL
UPSHUR...GREGG AND NORTHERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES...

At 848 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Rosewood to 8 miles north of Arp to near Ponta,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Tyler, Longview, Jacksonville, Henderson, Kilgore, Whitehouse, White
Oak, Gladewater, Rusk, Gilmer, Mineola, Lindale, Overton, Bullard,
Troup, Big Sandy, Hawkins, New London, Arp, and Clarksville City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
