.DISCUSSION...
A passing cold front will cause winds to shift westerly and increase
by mid morning, as well as bring scattered showers. However, shower
and thunderstorm coverage in the afternoon on the leading edge of a
disturbance, with strong erratic wind gusts and brief heavy downpours
being the main threats. Overall, though, the probabilities for
measurable rainfall on the fire area have decreased a bit to 40-50%
for 0.10 inches, 20-25% for 0.25 inches, and 5-10% for 0.50 inches.
Showers and thunderstorms will then decrease overnight as the
disturbance moves through the area, but the winds will remain breezy.
A few showers are possible on the back side of the disturbance on
Thursday, as the westerly winds become gusty once again.
