At 1228 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in southeast
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas and also north of I44 and east of
highway 75. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in
Craig county in Oklahoma and Franklin county in Arkansas. The
precipitation was in the Fort Smith area. Movement was to the east
at around 35 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch
to an inch and a half. Coverage and intensity remained about the
same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early this afternoon,
mostly cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 65 to 75 degrees and northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
