.DISCUSSION...Dry conditions with temperatures increasing from
a few degrees above average today to 7 to 10 degrees above average
the second half of the week. Dangerous heat is anticipated across
the valleys of Southeast Arizona Thursday and possibly again
Friday. Minimum relative humidity values 5-10 percent in the lower
elevations 8-15 percent in the mountains through the week, along
with poor overnight recoveries between 20-30 percent. Breezy
afternoon winds of 10 to 15 mph expected from the west to
southwest today, and west to northwest through the remainder of
the week. Slight chances for dry thunderstorms begin to arrive as
early as Thursday afternoon- evening, with better chances Friday
into Sunday, especially south and east of Tucson. Gusty outflow
winds will be possible with any thunderstorm that forms.
