This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is the potential for strong to severe storms during the
afternoon/evening hours today with the focus having shifted to
between the Missouri valley and James river regions, though isolated
strong storms are possible outside this focus area. The main threat
with the strongest storms is hail to the size of golfballs and
straight line winds up around 60-70 mph. A low tornado threat also
exists. Storms will push east but weaken as they continue overnight
across the state into western Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Gusty northwest winds behind the system could top out over 40mph in
central South Dakota early Friday.
