The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Greenville County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 652 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast
  of Pickens, or 6 miles southwest of Slater-Marietta, moving east at
  25 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Greenville, Greer, Taylors, Berea, Travelers Rest,
  Slater-Marietta, Paris Mountain State Park, and Lake Robinson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.
