The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20
  nm...
  Waters from Murrells Inlet NC to South Santee River SC from 20 to
  40 nm...

* Until 530 AM EDT.

* At 406 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 nm west of Cape
  Romain Reef, or 10 nm southeast of South Santee River Entrance,
  moving east at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  2 C R Ledge, Vermillion Reef, City Of Richmond, Parking Lot Area,
  Greenville Reef, Horseshoe Area, and Horseshoe Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
