...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
  county, Lake IL.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
  may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
  flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 532 PM CDT, River gauges indicated rapid rises along
    waterways in the headwaters of the Chicago River Basin and
    multiple public reports of street flooding have been
    received. Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
    rain rates had begun to diminish across the area with
    additional light rainfall moving into the area. Up to 1.5
    inches of rain have fallen so far.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lake Forest, Mettawa, Vernon Hills, Lincolnshire,
    Bannockburn, Deer Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
