At 528 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in Choctaw,
Pushmataha and Pittsburg counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the
southeast at around 25 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an
inch and a half to two inches. Coverage, and intensity increased
during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early this
morning, mostly sunny, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 62 to 69 degrees and east winds up to 5 mph.
