...Preliminary Storm Surveys Scheduled for Today...

Staff from the National Weather Service office in Des Moines Iowa
will conducting several storms surveys today, including the
Corning and Greenfield areas, as well as north Polk County and
Story County. The surveys are in relation to the severe
thunderstorms that moved through the area on May 21 2024.

A preliminary assessment, including results of the survey, are
expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by later this evening.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/dmx as well as our social media
channels.
