...THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
...Lake Erie from Ripley to Buffalo...
...The Upper and Lower Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor...

At 1129 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located 15 nm north of Van Buren Point, or 15 nm
northwest of Dunkirk, moving northeast at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Van Buren Point, Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Grand Island,
Barcelona, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Ripley,
Youngstown, Wanakah, Lewiston, Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview,
Sunset Bay, and Niagara River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
