948 WGUS82 KCHS 041947 FLSCHS Flood Advisory National Weather Service Charleston SC 347 PM EDT Tue Jun 4 2024 SCC005-049-042145- /O.NEW.KCHS.FA.Y.0020.240604T1947Z-240604T2145Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Allendale SC-Hampton SC- 347 PM EDT Tue Jun 4 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Allendale and Hampton. * WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 346 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Allendale, Fairfax, Sycamore, Barton, Seigling, Allendale County Airport, Rouse and Dukes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.
