...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Berkeley and Charleston.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 345 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and
    thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from West
    Ashley through Downtown Charleston into Mount Pleasant. As
    much as 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen in some areas this
    afternoon. Emergency Management with the City of Charleston
    is reporting roadways are becoming flooded and impassable in
    the Downtown Charleston Area. The risk for minor flooding
    continues as an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall
    through 515 PM.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Fort Sumter,
    Downtown Charleston, James Island, West Ashley, Johns Island,
    Isle Of Palms and Folly Beach.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
