Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 508 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated mostly light rain falling over Downtown Charleston. While additional flooding is unlikely, many roadways across the Downtown Charleston area remain flooded or closed. With high tide approaching, drainage across the peninsula will be slow to occur, so roadways will continue to be impacted through early this evening. Do not drive around police barricades. High tide in the Charleston Harbor will occur around 619 PM. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Downtown Charleston, Medical University Of South Carolina, Marion Square, Columbus Street Terminal and The Citadel. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
