.DISCUSSION...
Critical fire danger today as a slight uptick in afternoon winds
exceeds Red Flag thresholds. Extremely dry conditions with single-
digit humidity area wide (3-9%). Southwest flow increasing during
the early afternoon hours to 15 to 25 mph. Smoke ventilation
becoming Excellent by the noon time hour with transport to the
east. Very similar weather conditions day-to-day as stagnant dry,
southwest flow remains in place through the weekend. Strongest
winds of the period will be Saturday afternoon. Additional Red
Flags will likely be needed again. Slight rain chances exist
early next week due to an intrusion of moisture from the east,
but no beneficial wetting rains are expected at this time.
