.DISCUSSION...

Good morning, Mike. The influence of surface high pressure will
promote clear skies and benign weather conditions at the burn site
today. Sunny conditions will allow for temperatures to warm into the
mid 80s for much of the afternoon, up to a high of 86 degrees. 20 ft
winds at the burn site will start out from E at 3 mph at ignition
time, increasing to 5 mph by 10 AM and up to 6 mph by 12 PM and
through the afternoon hours. Transport winds are similarly forecast
to be E throughout the day, starting at 6 mph at ignition time,
increasing to 8-9 mph after 10 AM and lowering slightly to 7 mph by
4 PM this afternoon. Relative humidity values will be just under 80
percent at ignition time, steadily lowering through the morning as
temperatures warm. Minimum RH values are forecast to be 42 percent
around 4-5 PM. The transport winds combined with mixing heights
increasing to as high as 5500-6000 ft will lead to ADI values in the
50s and good smoke dispersal this afternoon.

20 ft winds will diminish this evening, dropping to SE at 2 mph by 8
PM and through the overnight hours. Transport winds at the burn site
will similarly drop to SE at 2-3 mph after 8 PM, as well. LVORI
values will increase through the overnight hours, up to 5 by 4 AM
and as high as 7 by 6 AM tomorrow morning. Considering the light
winds and relative humidity values reaching near 90 percent, patchy
fog will be possible near the burn site, particularly within a
couple of hours before sunrise. However, better atmospheric moisture
and more widespread fog appears more likely well to the east of the
burn site at this time. Please feel free to contact us if you have
any further questions or concerns.
