...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Towns, northern
Lumpkin, central Gilmer, northern White, Union and eastern Fannin
Counties through 615 AM EDT...

At 545 AM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Hiawassee to Vogel State Park to near Amicalola
Falls State Park, and moving east at 75 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Hiawassee, Blairsville, Young Harris, East
Ellijay, Helen, Morganton, Suches, Unicoi State Park, Robertstown,
Blue Mountain Shelter, Gumlog, Titus, Jones Creek, Pisgah, Cherry
Log, Stover Creek Shelter, Plum Orchard Gap Shelter, and Hemp.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 AM EDT for northwestern
Georgia.
