...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING
FOR COLLIN, DALLAS, DENTON, NORTHWESTERN KAUFMAN, ROCKWALL, TARRANT
AND EASTERN WISE COUNTIES...

At 800 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2
and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen with an additional 2 inches
possible this morning. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches
per hour in the stronger storms. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Garland, Irving, Grand
  Prairie, Mesquite, McKinney, Carrollton, Frisco, Denton,
  Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Flower Mound, Mansfield, Rowlett,
  Euless and Desoto.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
