...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR NORTHWESTERN COLLIN, SOUTHEASTERN COOKE, NORTHERN
DENTON AND GRAYSON COUNTIES...

At 311 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1
and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen, but only light rain is expected
across this area over the next few hours. Flash flooding is likely
ongoing.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  McKinney, Frisco, Denton, Sherman, The Colony, Sanger, Whitesboro,
  Little Elm, Denison, Prosper, Anna, Celina, Melissa, Krum, Pilot
  Point, Van Alstyne, Shady Shores, Howe, Aubrey and Pottsboro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
