Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The overnight hours saw a few showers and storms develop in West-
Central Kansas with the rest of the region seeing partly cloudy to
mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures as of one in the morning ranged
from 59 in Yuma, Colorado to 66 in Norton, Kansas. Winds were
generally from the south at 5 to 20 mph.

OUTLOOK... Today is forecast to have a warm start with high
temperatures warming into the 90`s underneath mostly sunny skies.
This afternoon and evening, there is the chance for significant
severe weather with very strong wind gusts, very large hail, and
a couple of tornadoes possible. Severe weather will generally
favor along and north of Highway 36, but is possible across most
of the region. Tonight, storms will move off to the east and skies
slowly clear behind them. Lows are forecast to be in the 50`s and
60`s. Tomorrow, another fairly warm day is forecast with highs
near 90 underneath mostly sunny skies. There could be a few storms
during the afternoon and evening hours.
