* WHERE...Southeast Caldwell County in North Carolina

* WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to streams
  and other poor-drainage areas, including farmland, parks,
  greenways, boat-access areas, golf courses, underpasses, and

  small culvert washout or two is possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to training thunderstorms. Between
    1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the past 60-75
    minutes over Rhodhiss and Granite Falls. Resultant excess
    runoff may result in nuisance to Minor flooding across the
    Advisory area.

    The areas of greatest concern include along Gunpowder Creek
    near and within Granite Falls, where urbanized flooding of
    poor-drainage areas is imminent. Also of concern is Hayes
    Mill Creek near Dry Ponds Rd and Helton Rd and Billy Branch
    near Dudley Shoals Rd.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain may exacerbate ongoing
    flooding or cause new areas of flooding to develop.

  - Nuisance to Minor flooding may occur near or within the
    following locations....
    Hickory, Sawmills, Granite Falls, Hudson, Rhodhiss, Lake
    Rhodhiss, Lake Hickory and Northlakes.
