.DISCUSSION...
With a bit of afternoon sunshine, mixing heights will increase and
vent rates become good mainly east of I-57 this afternoon. With
southerly winds gusting 25 to 35 mph tomorrow, vent rates will
improve further despite a capping inversion maintaining more
shallow mixing. Scattered thunderstorms will bring localized heavy
rain to portions of the area this afternoon, while more
widespread thunderstorms west of I-55 are expected (80% chance)
tomorrow evening. Continued thunderstorm chances will exist east
of I-55 on Wednesday, with additional heavy rainfall possible (20%
chance for more than 1 inch) near and south of I-70.
