Flood Statement

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

  White River at Spencer.

.Heavy rainfall during both Tuesday to Tuesday night and again
Thursday night brought a return of minor flooding on the White River
at Spencer...where flooding is expected to continue through Sunday
morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement should be issued this afternoon by around 1245 PM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Spencer.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, Gosport Road, also known as County Line
  Road in Owen County, begins to flood on north side of river.
  Romona Road west of Gosport begins to flood. Flooding of low
  agricultural land is noticeable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:30 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 5:30 AM EDT Saturday was 15.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
