...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...In the Davis and Chisos Mountains, temperatures as high as
  99 degrees. Along the Rio Grande in lower Brewster county,
  temperatures as high as 114.

* WHERE...Chisos Basin and Davis Mountains, and Lower Brewster
  County County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Look before you lock! Do not leave young children and pets in
unattended vehicles for even a moment. Car interiors will very
quickly reach lethal temperatures.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
