.Discussion...
Isolated lightning storms will persist through the evening before
gradually ending around midnight. Any lightning strikes will be
capable of new fire starts. Outside of rain and storms, westerly
winds at or below 10 mph are expected inland, with slightly higher
winds to around 15 mph at the coast.
For Wednesday, notably drier air will push across central Florida
with Min RH values falling into the 25 to 35 percent range west of
Interstate 95. Despite forecast winds out of the north around 10
mph or less through the day, critical fire conditions may develop
as a result of the afternoon east coast sea breeze, hot and dry
conditions, and excellent dispersion. Control issues are likely to
continue. High temperatures are forecast to reach the mid to
upper 90s with heat indices of 100-104 south of Melbourne.
Late week into next weekend, mostly dry conditions will prevail,
outside of isolated afternoon showers and storms. Min RH values in
the upper 20s to mid 30s again on Thursday will slowly recover
into the 30s and low 40s by the weekend. Onshore flow will send
the east coast breeze quickly inland each afternoon with winds
becoming breezy Saturday and Sunday, gusting around 20 to 25 mph.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
