.Discussion...
Mostly dry conditions are forecast to continue across east central
Florida today, with minimum RH values falling into the 30 to 40
percent range across the interior. Westerly winds will remain
below 15 mph, with the east coast sea breeze staying mostly pinned
to the coast east of I-95 and causing winds along the coast to
become southeasterly. Isolated showers and a stray storm or two
cannot be ruled out across the Treasure Coast and near Lake
Okeechobee, but confidence in this remains low. Temperatures will
be warm, with highs in the mid 90s to around 100 and peak heat
indices in the 100 to 105 range. Afternoon smoke dispersion will
be very good to excellent. Conditions will remain mostly dry
overnight with winds falling to around 5 mph.
Tuesday, a weak frontal boundary will sag southward towards east
central Florida, leading to increasing rain and storm chances.
Minimum RH values recover slightly on Tuesday to 35 to 45 percent
across the interior. The sea breeze will develop once again on
Tuesday, moving further inland than today, with light westerly
winds becoming east-southeast around 10 to 15 mph. Afternoon highs
will continue to climb into the mid to upper 90s, with peak heat
indices in the 100 to 105 range. Afternoon smoke dispersion will
once again be very good to excellent.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
