...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT
FOR SALINE AND WILLIAMSON COUNTIES...

At 931 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding with
heavier than normal street flooding in Harrisburg. Between 1 and 3.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1
inch are possible in the warned area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Marion, Herrin, Harrisburg, Carterville, Eldorado, Johnston City,
  Crainville, Cambria, Energy, Galatia, Hurst, Pittsburg, Creal
  Springs, Carrier Mills, Lake Of Egypt Area, Raleigh, Stonefort,
  Freeman Spur, Bush and Whiteash.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
